We offer Private In-Home coaching to cover a range of training needs, with group training afterwards. Board and Train options are also available (limited availability).

Whichever program you choose - you will have lifelong access to our WDC Training club which includes group maintenance classes and pack walks. We also have a unique system giving opportunities to "graduates" to become practice dogs for new students, as additional ongoing practice and education for both dog & handler.

Private coaching involves the trainer coming to your home and working directly with you and your dog (and family) for 1 to 1.5 hours. Lesson location may vary depending what we are working on, but will always start at your home. You are responsible for practicing in between sessions, we are available for phone support between lessons and will send additional tutorials as needed/requested. We strongly recommend taking advantage of our ongoing maintenance sessions to continue your progress even after your private coaching program has wrapped up.

 It's never too early to start building good foundations. Puppyhood is an important time to develop confidence, positive associations, communication, and everyday life skills. Because we believe the earlier the better - we actually offer 10% off to those who enroll in training BEFORE puppy even comes home. What about vaccinations? Because we come to you, and your puppy isn't coming to a busy/high traffic facility, it is perfectly safe to start as soon as your puppy comes home. 

 We work with a variety of behavioral challenges, including reactivity, fear and insecurity, resource guarding, aggression, and challenges in multi-dog households. Every dog and situation is different, so the first step is understanding your dog's history, environment, and specific needs.

 Every dog is different. Progress depends on factors such as your dog's learning history, the behaviours being addressed, your goals, and consistency between sessions. Some skills develop relatively quickly, while more complex behavioural challenges often require an ongoing plan and continued practice.

I'll help establish realistic goals and recommend an approach suited to your dog. Most of our programs range from 6 to 8 private lessons, plus ongoing maintenance groups afterwards. Board and Trains range from 3 to 4 weeks.

We train using play and food rewards among other positive reinforcement. We will always work at your dogs pace and create the best learning environment we can, to set them up for success, before ever feeling the need to use additional tools. However, we are not anti-tool and will place select dog and human teams in equipment best suited for them and their goals. We will always have an in-depth discussion about any equipment changes, what that may look like, and will NEVER force you to use anything you aren't 100% comfortable with.
